Conditions We Treat at
Concord Medical Chiropractic Neurology

Medical Treatment

A medical diagnosis is made by our multi-disciplinary team. Then specific medical treatments are prescribed, for example a patient may need medication, botanical anti-inflammatory injection therapies, physical therapy, and chiropractic. If the physician believes there is a need for functional neurology then the patient is scheduled to see our functional neurologist. From here a Brain-Based/Neurological diagnosis may be able to be made as to which hemisphere Right or Left and what part of it is dysfunctional and not synchronized.

Functional Neurology Treatment

All treatment techniques are guided to retrain the part of the brain and nervous system that is dysfunctional or weak. Hemisphere Integration Therapy is utilized. This is a unique hybrid of techniques from other disciplines like neurooptometry (eye treatment), occupational therapy, physio-therapy, cerebellar/ movement, speech, auditory, nutrition, bio-chemical and many other alternative measures and medicines targeted to the appropriate area of the brain.

It is safe and it works!

This therapy is much like a muscle being exercised to be stronger. We need to stimulate specific brain regions utilizing the best in modern neuroscience to make it stronger. Since the brain regulates everything in the body, those listed disorders may be treated effectively.

Chiropractic Treatment

We also offer standard Chiropractic manipulative care for spinal and other joint misalignments and physiotherapy.

Dr. Ryan Asks some important questions of interest to Wilmington residents - Chiropractor Wilmington Dr. Ryan Asks...

How could a child benefit from chiropractic?
Regardless of our age, each of us in Wilmington encounters physical, chemical and emotional stresses that exceed our ability to handle. For newborns, it could be the trauma encountered at birth. For toddlers it could be from learning to walk or ride a bike. Many of the problems we chiropractors see in adults are the result of neglected traumas from childhood.
Are chiropractors just concerned with the spine?
Our interest in the spine is because it covers the major communications conduit between your brain and your body. As a Wilmington chiropractor my job is to locate areas (usually along the spine) that interfere with proper nerve communications to and from your brain. Chiropractic adjustments help restore nervous system integrity. In this way, chiropractic care can affect the function of your entire body.
